Day Night

Although Rag-day (Majáles) is a celebration of students, České Budějovice has added a proper feast and lodging. Budějovice Rag-day is a unique event that carves a week out of your May schedule in order to satisfy all of your senses. There will be singing, dancing, and feasting.

The largest non-profit festival in the Czech Republic traditionally welcomes all young people to České Budějovice to show them what a students' party should look like.

The best of the domestic music scene, flavoured by international performers, is probably expected. A massive carnival procession with over 3,000 participants is not. České Budějovice simply does it differently. The accompanying programme will give you the opportunity to visit a drive-in theatre and participate in slam poetry, traveller's chats, or one of the many workshops.

As volunteers, you can also join the preparations for this event. Or you can support the blood donation initiative Students' blood drive.
